Large counts are tighter: Idaho 40-count and 50-count both quote at $24.00, 50 lb carton, up 7% on the week and 92% above the five-year median per USDA shipping point reports. Markon's October 15 market update attributed the constrained supply of 40- to 70-count Idaho stock to lower yields following rain and wildfire smoke, with packing sheds running behind schedule on the fresh run.
