Mostly $20.00, 50 lb carton, 70-count: the San Luis Valley and Wisconsin are both quoting that level on Norkotah russets at the shipping point as of August 27, per USDA shipping point reports. The SLV reading is 31% above the three-year median for that series and runs $2.00 over the Columbia Basin's mostly $18.00 on the same date. Markon noted on August 19 that potato markets were continuing to rise as the storage crop comes to an end and new crop has started.

Idaho export volume ran at 15,689 cwt for the week, up 91% week over week and 772% above the five-year median. Canada import crossings reached 31,784 cwt, up 9% on the week and 100% above the five-year median. Domestic shipments from interior origins ran the opposite direction.

• Kansas shipments: 1,493 cwt, down 96% week over week and 97% below the five-year median.
• Michigan shipments: 3,150 cwt, down 88% week over week and 89% below the four-year median.
• Minnesota exports: 400 cwt, down 86% week over week, 3% below the four-year median.
