# Russet Norkotah 70-Count FOBs Range $9 to $17 by Origin

_Jul 3, 2026_

> Russet Norkotah 70-count cartons from mostly $9.00-10.00 out of the San Luis Valley to mostly $15.00-17.00 out of Wisconsin per USDA shipping point, California shipments 196% above the 5-year median, over 150 series stale.

Russet Norkotah 70-count cartons are quoting from mostly **$9.00-10.00 per 50 lb carton** out of the San Luis Valley to mostly **$15.00-17.00 per 50 lb carton** out of Wisconsin, per USDA shipping point reports as of July 2, a six-to-eight dollar spread on identical count and pack. Idaho sits at **$11.50-11.50 per 50 lb carton** and the Columbia Basin at **$12.00-13.00 per 50 lb carton**, placing the Valley as the low bid on the board. Northern cellars selling down late-storage supply are priced at a premium. The western origins continue to move product at lower FOBs.

- **California potato shipments:** 122,149 cwt for the week, 196% above the 5-year median per movement reports, easing 7% week over week. California red size a holds at mostly $14.80-14.80 per 50 lb sack (USDA shipping point, July 2), elevated vs seasonal norms despite the volume.
- **Texas potato shipments:** 45,265 cwt for the week, 4% below the 5-year median and down 18% on the week per movement reports. The southern spring crop is winding down near its seasonal norm while the storage regions carry the board.
- **Maine potato shipments:** 11,060 cwt, 263% above the 5-year median per movement reports. Movement running this far above seasonal norms in early July is the notable read for this origin.
- **Red River Valley red potatoes, size b, 50 lb sack:** Running 52% above the 5-year median per USDA shipping point data, flat on the week. Supply of well-graded size b round-red stock remains tight in late storage.
- **Michigan russet Norkotah, unsized:** mostly $11.50-12.00 per baled 10 × 5-lb film bags (USDA shipping point, July 2). The baled retail pack is not directly comparable to the 70-count carton without a per-cwt conversion. Per cwt, it falls in line with the Idaho and Columbia Basin carton quotes.
- **Canadian import crossings:** 19,744 cwt for the week of July 2 per movement reports, the standing read on cross-border demand.

*Data note:* Over 150 USDA series have not updated in more than two weeks, including Florida, Arizona, Minnesota and Kansas. The Florida yellow size b carton quote on record dates to June 18 and is not current.
